On 20-23 May 2025, GEO was in Cork, Ireland, to attend the WIN-BIG project annual meeting and EMD 2025, where we co-organised the workshop "BuE Women Champions Take the Stage" with the sister project WINBLUE.

On May 12 and 13, 2025, the COLLECTiEF consortium met in Brindisi, Italy, for our last General Assembly hosted by our local partner CETMA. With the project entering its final phase, the two-day meeting was an opportunity to reflect on our collective progress, align on key priorities, and prepare for a strong project close that will ensure lasting impact.

CEE2ACT is launching an exciting challenge to engage regional hubs in exploring and using our newly developed e-solutions for the circular bioeconomy!

The 3rd Hungarian CEE2ACT National Workshop, organised by Geonardo Ltd. (GEO), took place at Európa Pont in Budapest on 17 April 2025, thanks to the kind support of the European Commission Representation in Hungary. 20 participants attended the workshop: representatives of academia, government, SMEs, private sector, NGOs, and GEO staff, research and innovation institutes from Hungary.

On 19 March 2025, GEO took part in the event “When Nature Can Do the Job – Fostering Co-benefits for People and the Environment in View of the Nature Restoration Regulation”, held in Brussels. GEO participated as a partner in the REWRITE project, which co-organised the event alongside CINEA, wildE, WILDCARD, and the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) Europe.

We are excited to announce the upcoming third and final national CEE2ACT Bioeconomy Workshop, which will take place on the 17th of March 2025 from 9:00 to 14:00 at Európa Pont. The CEE2ACT project aims to support Central and Eastern European countries in the development of a circular bioeconomy strategies and action plans in a bottom-up approach. An important element of this support is a common vision and Roadmap.

On 4-6 December 2024, the Partnering for the Future” high-level conference on Central and Eastern European research and innovation priorities in the context of sustainable soil and freshwater resilience, food systems security, and bioeconomy-related policies took place in Budapest Hungary, organized by the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Brussels, October 16, 2024 – The European Commission unveiled the Align Act Accelerate report, focusing on revitalizing Europe’s research, technology, and innovation to confront global challenges and drive competitiveness. The event and the report discusses the key takeaways of the Horizon Europe interim evaluation.
