Geonardo to strengthen cooperation with MATE in the field of bioeconomy and circular innovation

We are pleased to announce that the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) has recently joined the Hungarian Bioeconomy Forum, where Geonardo acts as coordinator and moderator. This new connection also marks the beginning of a closer cooperation between Geonardo and MATE in promoting sustainability, circularity, and bio-based innovation in Hungary and across Europe.

MATE plays a leading role in agricultural and environmental research, education, and practical innovation. The university has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability, with notable achievements such as the establishment of the Circular Economy Analysis Centre and the implementation of campus-wide composting and biowaste recovery systems. These efforts make MATE a natural partner for Geonardo in both national and EU-level projects addressing climate resilience, resource efficiency, and circular bioeconomy.

Through this strengthened collaboration, we aim to jointly support knowledge exchange, stakeholder engagement, and the scaling of innovative solutions that contribute to a climate-neutral and resource-conscious future. Our partnership will also support the Hungarian Bioeconomy Forum’s mission to build a strong national network of researchers, businesses, and institutions committed to sustainable, biomass-based economic development.
