CEE2ACT partners meet in Thessaloniki

The CEE2ACT project consortium came together in sunny Thessaloniki, Greece, for its General Assembly on 12–13 June 2025. Hosted by the Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia (CLuBE), the two-day meeting marked a key milestone as the project moves into its final months.

Strategic Discussions and Final Planning

The first day of the assembly was dedicated to productive discussions on work package updates, progress, and next steps. With the project entering its concluding phase, partners reviewed outstanding activities and coordinated on upcoming deliverables—including the development of national bioeconomy roadmaps and capacity-building actions.

A key highlight of the discussions was the planning of the final project event, which will take place later this year in Budapest. Stay tuned for more details on what promises to be a dynamic closing chapter for the CEE2ACT initiative!

Inspiration from Innovation: A Site Visit to CERTH

On the second day, the consortium visited the facilities of CERTH – the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, one of Greece’s leading research institutions. The visit included insightful presentations from CERTH researchers, showcasing cutting-edge work in the bioeconomy and sustainability sectors. This was followed by an engaging discussion on potential future collaborations between partners, and a guided tour of the research centre's impressive premises.

Looking Ahead

The Thessaloniki meeting was marked by clear skies, constructive dialogue, and strong partnership spirit. As the CEE2ACT project advances toward its conclusion, the consortium is energised and focused on delivering its final outputs, including the national bioeconomy roadmaps and a legacy of tools and knowledge for continued impact.
