Looking Ahead with Confidence
Day one began with a review of feedback from our most recently submitted report to CINEA, which acknowledged the project’s achievements while also highlighting the importance of fully validating the COLLECTiEF system in all pilot sites. In light of this, the consortium is moving forward with a project extension, a strategic decision that will allow us to complete testing, deepen analysis, and maximise the value of our results.
Each work package leader presented updates and outlined next steps, from ongoing system integration and data analysis to stakeholder engagement and capacity building. These presentations not only demonstrated the progress made so far but also reinforced the collaborative spirit that defines COLLECTiEF.
From Strategy to Impact
On day two, the focus shifted to forward-looking discussions and collaborative workshops covering several core areas:
- Exploitation Management, Strategy, and Business Model – led by the WP6 team, this session explored pathways for the post-project future of the COLLECTiEF solution, including commercialisation and replication.
- System Integration and Large-scale Demonstration – discussions centered on the final stages of deployment across our pilot sites and how to ensure smooth, data-rich testing environments.
- Data Analysis and Impact Assessment – partners reviewed the initial findings and agreed on key indicators to demonstrate COLLECTiEF’s effectiveness in reducing energy consumption, improving flexibility, and enhancing climate resilience.
The General Assembly concluded with a technical visit to CETMA’s laboratories, where partners had the chance to meet the multidisciplinary team working on materials and computer engineering, industrial design, virtual reality and much more.
Final Phase, Strong Finish
The energy and focus of the Brindisi meeting reflect a shared ambition: to deliver a tested, scalable, and impactful COLLECTiEF system that supports the energy transition and empowers building users and managers across Europe.
We look forward to sharing more updates as we move through this final stretch. In the meantime, stay tuned for insights from our pilots, research publications, and the outcomes of our capacity-building efforts.
