A two-day event organized by the European Commission with over 1650 participants from over 80
countries, and 11 unique and very interesting sessions dissecting the most relevant topics within the #EUBioeconomy.
The sessions were led by hosts and panellists representing every segment of the future EU bioeconomy. Not only including
senior decision-makers and already established experts within the topic but the newly introduced 15 Youth Ambassadors
representing 11 nationalities having expertise in various fields related to bioeconomy food systems, forestry, blue
economy, bio-based industry and science communication.
We were really happy to briefly chat with József Lázár, the Hungarian Youth
Ambassador and an algae-biotechnology start-up founder at the conference.
The conference has given us plenty of food for thought and has filled us with enthusiasm and hope for the future of the
EU Bioeconomy to come.
We would like to thank the organizers and all presenters for making this excellent event happen! We can’t wait to move
the CEE2ACT project forward with what we have learned and with the connections we have made during the conference.
