We flew to Norway for the first in-person General Assembly of the COLLECTiEF project, hosted by the project coordinator, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), at the Norwegian Maritime Competence Center in Ålesund on 23-24 June 2022.
After countless online meetings and email exchanges, it was great to finally meet face to face our partners from 6 European countries and be sitting all together in the same room.
This first implementation year has been very busy for the COLLECTiEF Consortium, engaged in many preparatory activities leading up to the launch of the testing and monitoring of the COLLECTiEF solutions in 4 pilot sites across Europe in Summer 2022. The General Assembly was an excellent opportunity to review the progresses and milestones achieved and present next steps and expected results for the upcoming months.
Our team from GEONARDO, leader of the Communication and Dissemination Work Package, presented an overview of the numerous awareness-raising campaigns and outreach initiatives organised over the course of the past 12 months and brainstormed with the partners successful strategies and new ideas to further engage with building and energy professionals and citizens across Europe.
The two-day GA was wrapped up with a visit to the two pilot buildings in Ålesund, a high school and an elderly health care centre, and to AugmentCity, an innovative technology company offering smart and sustainable solutions for urban development.
Alongside the needed technical discussions about the implementation of the COLLECTiEF system and updates from the project coordinator NTNU, the General Assembly also offered a unique chance to strengthen collaboration and team spirit amongst partners through networking and team building.
