Geonardo attended the 30th Greenovate! Europe (G!E) General Assembly and summer network reception in Brussels, at the Renewable Energy House. During the first day of the meeting, excellent presentations were given by representatives of EUROCHAMBERS, the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking, DG for Research and Innovation, DG Clima, and DG Environment.
Also, Geonardo presented the new Horizon Europe project CEE2ACT, “Empowering the Central and Eastern European Countries to Develop Bioeconomy Strategies and Action Plan” and had the opportunity to discuss the mission, challenges, and roadmap of CEE2ACT with some project partners and key stakeholders in the bioeconomy sphere.
CEE2ACT is a project coordinated by Geonardo, and it will start on September 1st, 2022. The objective of CEE2ACt is to empower 10 countries in Central Eastern Europe and beyond (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia) to develop bioeconomy strategies and action plans through knowledge transfer and the adoption of innovative governance models from experienced countries - countries with a more advanced bioeconomy policy - (Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands).
In the course of the second day, the G!E Strategy was discussed, and members had parallel sessions on Horizon Europe new calls and together the G!E members celebrated their strong commitment to being the European eco-innovation network of reference, working for a sustainable, inclusive and green planet & society!
The 31st G!E General Assembly will take place in Bilbao, Spain; at Geonardo we look forward to meeting G!E members in December and continuing our strong cooperation.
