On 1-2 March 2022, Geonardo is attending the 5th Edition of the Annual European Circular Economy
Stakeholder Platform. The introduction of the conference was titled Towards a new normal: Sustainable Products for
Sustainable consumption, and it counted with engaging keynote speeches from Dame Ellen MacArthur, Frans Timmermans,
Executive Vice-President for the European Green Deal, Kestutis Sadauskas, Director, DG ENVIRONMENT, among other
high-level representatives. The Sustainable Products Initiative (SPI) was also mentioned as a flagship of the European
Commission's new Circular Economy Action Plan, which will revise the Ecodesign Directive and propose additional
legislative measures to make products placed on the EU market more sustainable. The SPI is currently under the
consultation period.
As part of the network options of this conference, the Networking Village has been set up, which is an ideal space for
presenting the activities in the field of Circular Economy. The Circular Point hosted by Geonardo will be presented at
the Networking Village.
