Our newest project FoodRUs launched

FoodRUs will deploy innovative solutions to foster a collaborative circular food system to reduce food waste and food losses along the agri-food value chain

Funded under Horizon 2020, FoodRUs will enhance the resilience and sustainability of local and regional European food systems by deploying and demonstrating the value of 12 innovative solutions replicated in 3 complementary regions across Europe. Through promoting sustainable and cooperative models for prevention, reutilisation, recovery and valorisation of food losses and waste, paying special attention on perishable food including cooked food.

Under the coordination of Deusto University (Spain), 29 partners from across Europe will implement the activities of FoodRUs over 4 years. Geonardo is leading stakeholders empowerment activities, while also contributing to specific research and development tasks.
