RethinkAction General Assembly in Milan

The RethinkAction project, funded under the Horizon 2020-EU.3.5 Programme, marked a significant milestone during a recent General Assembly (GA) meeting in Milan on October 18th and 19th.

RethinkAction brings together thirteen partners from nine countries, uniting expertise in various fields, including social sciences, environmental sciences, and climatology. Launched in October 2021, the project's four-year goal is to create a decision-making platform tailored to diverse end-users. This platform will provide essential information on climate change and promote land use-based mitigation and adaptation solutions, emphasizing the crucial role of land use in addressing climate change.

Through participatory processes, RethinkAction seeks to engage decision-makers, stakeholders, and citizens actively, fostering both political and individual behavior change. Geonardo, a leading partner in the project, is piloting a case study in Hungary's Great Plains region and plans to engage local stakeholders and experts early next year.

The Milan meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving climate goals. RethinkAction is poised to deliver innovative solutions for climate mitigation and adaptation, emphasizing individual and political change. This project is paving the way for active participation in climate action across Europe and beyond.
